Award-winning choreographer Shobana Jeyasingh's Faultline of 2007 uses dance, film, and a powerful score to create an atmospheric and perceptive insight into contemporary Britain. Eight international dancers bring an armoury of skills from contemporary dance, Bharata Natyam and martial arts, whilst acclaimed soprano Patricia Rozario adds vocals to the electronic sound-scape.
The DVD includes two filmed versions of the full-length performance. A wide-shot allows the full stage action to be seen in totality, while a second edited version provides a more detailed close-up look at the intricate choreography.
